Blueprint Counseling Overview
At Blueprint Counseling, we believe healing is intentional. Like any solid structure, it begins with a strong foundation — built with care, clarity, and a customized plan. We provide trauma-informed mental health services designed to help clients process the past, navigate the present, and confidently shape their future.
We specialize in supporting youth, families, and survivors of sexual trauma — and we understand how trauma intersects with systems like the courts, social services, and education.

FAQs

Common Questions
What if I’m not sure what I need?
That’s completely okay. The first step is simply showing up. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you here and build a plan that feels right for you. No pressure. No judgment. Just support.
What does a session look like?
Therapy at Blueprint Counseling follows a clear, flexible structure designed around you. Sessions may take place in our private office or through secure telehealth, depending on what fits your life. The length of therapy varies based on your goals, needs, and what you want to work through, but the process itself is intentional and easy to understand.
We begin with an initial session focused on understanding your story, identifying key concerns, and defining what progress would look like. In early sessions, we work together to clarify priorities, explore present challenges and relevant past experiences, and develop practical skills that support change. As therapy continues, the focus shifts toward applying what you’re learning in real life, strengthening what works, and adjusting the plan as new insights or needs emerge. The goal is steady, meaningful progress that feels grounded and sustainable.
Sessions are usually 45min to 60 min.
Do I have to be "formally diagnosed" in order to receive services?
Not if you're paying out of pocket. If you don’t want a formal diagnosis or don’t want one documented in your records, you can choose to self-pay. We believe you don’t have to “qualify” to get help—if you’re struggling, you’re welcome here. Most insurance companies will require a diagnosis. Some more specialized work may require a diagnosis.
Do you offer Christian Counseling?
Yes—when requested, we can incorporate Christian beliefs and values into the counseling process. We respect and honor the role faith can play in healing. At Blueprint Counseling, we meet you where you are—whether faith is a central part of your life or not part of your journey at all. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space that reflects your values. If Christian-based counseling is something you're looking for, just let us know.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions for clients anywhere in North Carolina. Whether you're juggling a busy schedule, live outside of Asheboro, or just prefer the comfort of your own space, virtual sessions can provide the same level of care and connection as in-person visits. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.
